The BCM electronic unit transmits the signal from the CSM, coupling sensor to the truck instrument cluster.
This indication kit can be used if the vehicle has an approved mounting solution in accordance with UNECE Regulation No.55
The VBG Indicating Kit consists of the following components:​
CSM (Coupling Sensor Module) - digital sensor on the coupling that detects whether the coupling is locked or open. ​
CAN-BUS and power cable (12/16 metres) connecting CSM and BCM.​
BCM (Body Control Module) -the “brain” in the CAN-BUS system and connects to the vehicle by a mechanic. ​
VBG Indicating Panel or OEM Cluster – two different options for displaying an open or closed coupling in the cab. Both options are connected to BCM. NOTE! Cluster indication for OEM Cluster can be used if the vehicle has an approved installation solution according to UNECE R55. BCM is connected to the vehicle’s cluster (follow the bodybuilder instructions).
